Sandi Kriebel

Sandi Kriebel is a life member of Yinlging-Ridgely Auxiliary No. 7472 in Ellicott City, Maryland. She joined in 1962 as a Jr. Girls Unit member of the Sheridan Hood Auxiliary No. 3065 and at age 16 joined as a member of the Sgt. Henry Gunther Auxiliary No. 1858 (disbanded) and transferred her membership to Yinlging-Ridgely Auxiliary No. 7472 under the eligibility of her father, Martin J. Conner, who served in the United States Army during World War II and Korea. She held every office and chairmanships many times over, except Treasurer on Auxiliary and District level. On a Department level she went up the chairs to become 1996-97 Department President receiving Outstanding President of the Year. Served as National Council Member #3 and held appointments as National Ambassador for Hospital, Cancer Aid & Research, National Patriotic Instructor, Eastern States Conference Membership and Americanism chairman. Held the position as National Event Planner working at the VFW Auxiliary National Headquarters in Kansas City, Missouri. On an Eastern Conference level, she held Secretary, Eastern Conference Chairman, and program chairman. In 2013, she was elected as National Guard and became National President in 2018-19. She continues her service working on each level including Department Chief of Staff/Extension for the 2020-21 year and as the National VAVS Representative. Her service also includes 25,000 hours as a VA hospital volunteer. As a Jr. Unit member, she had the honor of serving a Civil War and Spanish American War Veteran. She is also a life member of the VFW National Home for Children and as National President served on the Board of Trustees. She has been married to her husband Paul Kriebel for 30 years. They have three grown children, seven grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Her everlasting love, friendships, experiences, and memories continues her love and devotion for this great organization, its mission and all that it represents. After 58 years as a member she "BELIEVES” strongly that we must always stay focused on "Unwavering Support for Uncommon Heroes”. Sandi also believes, it should be our commitment as a patriotic American and as an VFW Auxiliary member to serve those who served us.
