Karen D. Rooker is a life member of Scott-Johnson-Collins
Auxiliary 9619 in Morningside, MD. She joined in 1979 under the eligibility of
her father, Francis D. McCrone who served in the Air Force during the Korean
and Vietnam Wars. Karen has served the organization
in many capacities on the Auxiliary, District and Department levels.
On the Department level, Karen was honored to be elected in 2017
as Department of Maryland President after going up the line officer’s
chairs. Sister Rooker also served as
Legislative Chairman and Safety Chairman for the Department.
On the District level, Karen is currently serving as
President for a 5th term. She
also has served as District Secretary for many years as well as many
chairmanships.
On the Auxiliary level, Karen served as President for 2
terms. She also held numerous officer positions
and chairmanships for the Auxiliary including over 20 years as Auxiliary
Secretary.
Karen is also a life member of the VFW National Home for
Children. She has 2 daughters and 2
grandsons. In her spare time, she likes to play bingo and spend time with her
family & friends. Sister Rooker works
endlessly to support our Veterans and their Families.
