Libby DallaTezza of Keymar MD is currently serving a fourth term as Department, and Auxiliary Secretary. A life member of Emmitsburg Memorial Auxiliary Post 6658, she joined on the eligibility of her husband, John DallaTezza, who served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1967‐1970 and is a Vietnam veteran. She has served the organization in many capacities, including Auxiliary, District, and as Department Historian on and off for a total of six Department Presidents and was District Secretary for 14 consecutive years. She has also served as Department Scholarships and Hospital Chairman.
On the National level, Libby served as Assistant Conductress from 2013‐2014 and as National Historian from 2015‐2016 for National President Francesca Guilford. In 2016-2017 as the Eastern Conference Membership Coach. She was again honored to be appointed to National Historian in 2017-2018 for National President Dee Guillory and 2018‐2019 for National President Sandi Kriebel. Libby was the National Certified Recruiter Trainer from its inception in 2014 until the conclusion of the program in 2019. She is a Life Member of the VFW National Home.
In her spare time, she enjoys quilting. She is a collector of vintage sewing items and is a member of "Everybody’s Quilt Guild”, where she participates in a program that makes and donates quilts to a local VA hospital. She and John have been married for 45 years and share their home with three cats.
