VaNette Jones
Department President -

VaNette Jones is a life member of Wicomico County Memorial Auxiliary to VFW Post #10159 located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, in Salisbury, Maryland.  She joined the Ladies Auxiliary on October 5, 1999 under the eligibility of her father, Vance "Bunk” Jones, who served our country as a Rifleman in the United States Army during World War II.  Although VaNette did not join the Ladies Auxiliary until 1999, she was an original member of VFW #10159’s Auxiliary Junior Girls Unit where she served in numerous capacities from Secretary to President. She has served Auxiliary Post #10159 in numerous capacities from Trustee to her current role as Treasurer and Membership Chairman for the past six years.  On the district level, she served as District #16 Secretary for four years until she expanded her wings and was voted in as District President for the 2020-2021 year and continued to serve as District President through 2022.

On the Department level, VaNette is currently serving as Department President.  She has also served as Department Guard, Conductress, Chaplain , Jr. Vice President, Sr. Vice President and Legislative Chairman.  VaNette is a life member of the VFW National Home for Children. She served for two years as the Assistant Conductress for the Supreme Military Order of the Cootie Auxiliary (MOCA).  VaNette is currently serving her sixth year as the Secretary for the Grand of Maryland MOCA and she is currently serving her second year as the President of MOCA ShoCrabbers Auxiliary #27. She resides in Salisbury, Maryland with the love of her life, Andre.  They share five children and six grandchildren.
